Real Wedding: Sheelah + Ryan

Posted July 15, 2020

With a sunshine-filled brunch wedding located at the Cliffs at Glassy, Sheelah & Ryan opted for an intimate celebration. The Cliffs at Glassy Chapel provided the perfect setting for their Catholic ceremony, while also integrating the bride’s Filipino traditions. As their guests arrived at the Cliffs clubhouse for the reception, guests were greeted with a handcrafted sparkling refresher beverage. The entire day felt as it was in the midst of a secret garden, with lush greenery adorning the suspended hanging cake. The design process began around a shade of eggplant, and then branched to lighter, summery shades of lavender and mauve.

As food stations opened, their guests visited several unique stations, including an Asian noodle bar (complete with tiny chinese takeout boxes and chopsticks). The personal touches continued even into the favors they gifted their loved ones. As collectors of local Blue Ridge Pottery, the couple selected hand-crafted pottery pieces from the same artisan. The favors were complete with their own air plant and care instructions. Throughout the entire day, it was so evident how much their family and friends loved them. They were definitely a couple worth celebrating, and it was such a blessing to be a part of their day!
