Real Wedding: Meagan + Michael

Posted October 5, 2020

Meagan and Michael are a couple that have a relaxed elegance to them: the perfect balance of serious & light hearted. For their nuptials in the North Carolina mountains, they envisioned a fun, colorful spring experience that reflected their personalities. Above all, the couple foresaw a blend of elements that wasn’t too formal, but would deliver a serious celebration.

Firstly in their planning, they chose minimalistic invitations, with the “less is more” vibe. This subtle look let the other aspects of the day stand strong. The sage green envelope hinted toward the spring-hued celebration awaiting in April. The day itself surpassed all expectations, the epitome of a beautiful spring day.

That morning, the bridesmaids donned matching skirts with separate crisp white blouses. In lieu of tuxes, the groom had custom green blazers made for all the groomsmen (a subtle nod to his hometown, Augusta, GA, and the beloved Masters). Shortly after, the bridal party graced the floral lined ceremony aisle with grace and poise.

Throughout the day, the garden party theme translated from the invitations, to the bride’s bouquet, to the seating chart installation. At cocktail hour, each table’s guests were listed inside glass cloches, and accented by spring blooms. Inside the venue, the reception’s layout had no single “head” table, but instead ensured each guest had a great seat. Flanking the center of the room, estate tables stood in two main cross shapes, with a large, wild greenery arrangement at each center. After dinner and first dances, The New Royals kept the party going all night long!
