Katrina and Brook chose the picturesque mountains of North Carolina for their December wedding. Having only 30 guests, their intentionally intimate wedding was much like the micro-weddings in today’s social climate. They were able to visit with each of their guests, and make everyone feel special.
Firstly, a blanket of fresh snow fell that winter day—which beautifully set the scene for their holiday nuptials. Greeting guests at the door, a shelf lined with favors of cable-knit throws welcomed guests to take one to bundle up in the chilly weather. Inside the barn, a toasty fire centered the room. Festive trees flanked the mantel which was decked out in an arrangement of holiday elements. Together with an assortment of pine boughs, lush red and white flowers anchored the ceremony space.
After the ceremony, guests headed to cocktail hour, where they were welcomed with a glass of champagne garnished with rosemary and cranberries. Plaid napkins complemented the gilded linens, and laser cut evergreen tree menus was a darling nod to the mountains surrounding them. Moreover, the back of their gold empire chairs for the bride and groom were not without accent. Each was complete with luxe fur throws, topped with mini wreaths. At dinner, the string lights and multitude of glowing candles brought a cozy glow that lasted all night!
