Kyla and Lance began planning their dream wedding for May 2020 at Lonesome Valley in North Carolina, but Covid-19 had other plans for them. Like many 2020 couples, they found themselves focusing on the health and safety of their friends and family. We switched gears, and designed and planned this elopement for them at the parents of the groom’s home, with only their immediate family members.
From the bracelet that the mother of the groom wore on her own wedding day to the heirloom champagne flutes, family was woven throughout the entire event. Upholstered benches allowed families sit together, while staying apart from other households. Organically placed florals surrounded the couple at the end of the aisle. Personalized baskets filled with Chick-fil-A orders were awaiting family members as they exited the celebration. What a sweet nod to the couple’s very first date location!
Kyla and Lance took every curveball thrown at them with so much grace. It may not have been as originally planned, but it was the perfectly intimate way to celebrate Mr. and Mrs. Berry!
